What is TON?

TON (or The Open Network) and its associated cryptocurrency Toncoin (TON) are part of a blockchain project originally developed by the team behind Telegram, the popular messaging app. The project aims to create a decentralized, fast, and scalable blockchain ecosystem with a wide range of applications, including payments, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), and more.

Unlike Bitcoin or Ethereum, which have slower transaction speeds due to their single-chain architecture, TON’s sharding allows it to scale more efficiently, handling many transactions at once, making it suitable for mass adoption.

How to get started

1. Sign up with a cryptocurrency exchange that supports Toncoin. It can be bought and sold at any of the places shown here or obtained on peer-to-peer exchanges.
2. Purchase or trade for some Toncoin (TON).
3. After receiving your TON into your wallet, go to the TON deposit page in your Private Office.
4. From the drop down list, select to which account you wish to deposit using TON — click Submit. This will generate a unique wallet address that you will use to send your TON.
5. Copy the TON wallet address that comes up on the next screen.
6. Go back to the cryptocurrency exchange where you have your TON and send the coins to the wallet address you generated in step 4. Coins will arrive in your trading account in a few minutes/hours. The minimum is 5 Toncoin.
